LineLens is a focused reading browser extension for X / Twitter Articles. It converts supported articles into a local Reader page and saves reading progress in the user's browser.
LineLens has one narrow purpose: to convert a supported X / Twitter Article that the user actively opens into a local focused reading page, and to restore reading progress for that article locally.
LineLens does not provide advertising, analytics, account systems, social interaction features, cross-site tracking, creditworthiness evaluation, or data resale features unrelated to this purpose.
When the user actively uses the extension, LineLens processes the current supported page URL, article content, media resource URLs, reading progress, and local reading settings. This data is used only to determine whether the page is supported, generate the Reader page, preserve article media, restore reading position, and save reading preferences.
LineLens uses Chrome extension local storage to save article cache, reading progress, and reading settings. The data is stored locally in the user's own browser environment.
LineLens does not upload article content, reading progress, settings, or browsing records to LineLens-owned servers.
LineLens does not sell user data. LineLens does not share user data with advertising platforms, data brokers, or third-party analytics services. LineLens does not include remote analytics SDKs, does not create user accounts, and does not perform cross-site user tracking.
LineLens requests browser permissions only to identify supported pages, inject the required content script, open the Reader page, save reading progress, and preserve video playback information from X / Twitter Articles.
LineLens uses the storage permission to save article cache, reading progress, and reading settings locally in the user's browser. This allows users to reopen the same article and continue from their previous reading position, and to keep reading preferences such as theme and font settings.
LineLens does not use storage to save passwords, payment information, contacts, precise location, or other sensitive personal information unrelated to the reading experience. Stored data is not uploaded to LineLens-owned servers and is not sold or shared with third parties.
LineLens runs on X / Twitter pages that the user actively visits. Text, images, videos, and embedded content on those pages still come from the original website and its media domains. LineLens only organizes this content into a local Reader page and does not change ownership of the original content.
Users can disable or uninstall LineLens at any time from the Chrome extensions management page. Uninstalling the extension removes local data stored by Chrome for this extension.
